CV Manager: turning CVs into a searchable database

A management tool built for HR companies and organisations that recruit at scale. AI reads the uploaded CVs, extracts the data — contact details, skills, certifications, work experience — and organises it in a structured database. Recruiters stop opening files one by one and start searching.

The interface is in Italian, the language of the team that uses it.

The problem

Hundreds of CVs, each in a different format

Recruiters receive CVs in PDF and Word, laid out in a thousand ways. Finding the right profile means opening them, reading them and remembering who knew what. The information is all there, but it can't be searched: the more the volume grows, the more the job becomes reading instead of selecting.

How it works

Three steps, from file to search

CV Manager

The Upload CV window: a drop area for PDF or Word files, up to 10 at a time

01 · Upload

CVs go in exactly as they arrive

The recruiter drags the files into the upload window, as PDF or Word, up to ten at a time. No forms to fill in, no format to follow: the CV stays the one the candidate sent.

A sample candidate profile: personal details, contract position and skills grouped by category

02 · Extract

AI reads it and puts every detail in its place

From each CV the system extracts contact details, years of experience, certifications and skills, and sorts them by category: role, tools, databases, programming languages, platforms, operating systems. Next to them sit fields for the contract position and the recruiter's notes.

03 · Search

Search by skill, not by file

Every profile lands in a table with filters on each field: city, tools, databases, languages, platforms, years of experience, current and expected salary, date of last contact. “Who knows Kubernetes and has at least five years of experience” becomes a search, not an afternoon.

What goes into the database

Every profile, always with the same structure

The value isn't reading one CV, it's that every CV becomes comparable. Same fields, same names, same categories: that's what makes filtering possible.

01

Contact and personal details

Name, email, mobile, city, date of birth.

02

Experience

Years of experience, role, work history, certifications.

03

Skills by category

Tools, databases, languages, platforms and operating systems, each one filterable.

04

Contract position

Current and expected contract and salary, notice period, expiry, last contact and notes.

The system is built with Python, AngularJS and React, and all data is stored securely in a structured database, designed to stay fast as the number of profiles grows.
